bringing the community together
A warm and welcoming church which seeks to be in the centre of the community - St Nicholas Church is here for everyone in the village.
Our handsome grade 1 listed church building is right in the middle of the village, with many notable features, and in part dates back to the 13th Century. The church is kept open from 10am until dusk, visitors are always welcome, and there are guide books for sale near the door.
Services are normally at 9.30 a.m. on Sundays, with a range of worship, including a monthly Breakfast Church informal service on the fourth Sunday of the month. Holy Communion is usually twice a month, as well as Family Services. Children and young people are welcome at all services.
Our worship is supported by St. Nicholas Church Choir, and the bells are rung before most of our services. if you would like to know more or are interested in joining the choir or bell ringers there are contact details below
For details of services, please see the Events Calendar of the village website and the church notice board by the gate on High Street. Services for the month ahead are also advertised in the church and village news magazine “Rattlesden’s Revelations” which is edited and produced by Carole Gooderham, Tel 01 449 736631; email: carolegooderham@uwclub.net
