bringing the community together
Suffolk County Council are planning to carry out carriageway resurfacing along Rising Sun Hill, Rattlesden. The works are programmed to take place between 10am and 2.30pm on Monday 22 April and Tuesday 23 April. During this time, the road will be closed to ensure the safety of highway users and our operatives.
For the duration of the closure, traffic will be diverted via Top Road, Brettenham Road, Felsham Road and vice versa. As SCC plan roadworks in advance, they schedule extra days to allow for bad weather or other delays beyond our control. If SCC need to make major changes to the work dates, they will update the information signs on site and via their social media channels accordingly. A plan showing the diversion route for these works is attached to this email. When SCC close the road and put a diversion in place, the route needs to be accessible to vehicles of all shapes and sizes. SCC make diversions as clear as possible by placing appropriate signing along the route.
